Who Leads AQP

The Board of Directors

Acquedotto Pugliese is led by our Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors (BoD) is the collective body with the broadest management powers and has the authority to perform all actions deemed appropriate for the achievement of the company’s objectives, except for those reserved for the competence of the shareholders' meeting.

The Board of Directors is responsible for running the business and implementing the decisions of the Assembly, working alongside the Coordination and Monitoring committee the body responsible for exercising joint control on behalf of the Member Municipalities. In particular:

  • It approves organizational strategies,
  • Develops management policies,
  • Ensures the legal responsibility of the organization towards authorities.

The Board of Directors of Acquedotto Pugliese is composed of:

President

  • Roberto Venneri
    A certified public accountant, he has gained experience in the fields of auditing and banking. He served as an executive at a public company and, from 2015 to 2026, as Secretary General of the Presidency of the Puglia Region.

Council Members

  • Luciano Ancora
    A lawyer at the Court of Cassation, he specializes primarily in administrative law. He has served as a speaker and professor and was legal advisor to the Minister for European Affairs from 2022 to 2024.
     
  • Fiorenza Pascazio
    A criminal defense attorney, she has gained experience in the fields of public administration and environmental protection. She has been mayor of Bitetto since 2015 and president of ANCI Puglia since 2023.

Coordination and Monitoring committee

The Coordination and Monitoring committee is the body through which the Apulian municipalities exercise joint control over the Company as part of an in-house providing system. Its main responsibilities include management, supervision and control, prior approval of business plans, strategic programmes and balance sheets, as well as the authority to inspect the administrative body.

The Committee, in office for the three-year period 2026-2028, consists of 15 members:

  • Matteo Gentile - Manfredonia (FG)

  • Adriana Poli Bortone - Lecce (LE)

  • Giuseppe Mellone - Nardò (LE)

  • Cosimo Fabbiano - San Giorgio Ionico (TA)

  • Gaetano Pichierri - Sava (TA)
